Last night after the kids went to bed, I found myself suddenly cleaning our downstairs. With all the busy we hadn’t had a chance to really get any chores done. But my sanity suddenly depended on a clean home.
My hubby came down and got to work helping me. He offered several times to finish and let me go upstairs to relax. Nope! My self-care needs at the moment had everything to do with cleaning and accomplishing our chores, and nothing to do with relaxing.
You see, sometimes our self-care needs shift. Sometimes what we need to be relaxed may not seem relaxing at all. And this is absolutely okay!
If today your need for sanity is to embrace the needs of your house, then you go after it! It’s all about finding how to best take care of your needs.
